Chase and Jenna August 17 2019 NAV Cornwall

Durham Region Wedding Photographer takes a road trip to NAV Cornwall

Tell us about the proposal:

 January 4th, 2018

We went to Alight at Night at Upper Canada Village. Chase pretended he wanted a picture in front of one of the lit buildings and got down on one knee and proposed. My response might’ve been f*** off, I hate you because I was so surprised, but then said YES!

How long were you dating before you got married?

 7 Years

Tell us about your wedding:

It is a modern geometric D.I.Y theme. Chase and I have built many of the décor items ourselves and have created many other aspects with friends and family. We are excited to have both of our families and friends come together to celebrate. It has been a long time coming and we cant wait!

Did the date/season have special meaning?

We knew we wanted a summer wedding.

What are the theme/colours and why did you choose it/them? What are some of the elements that reflect that theme (e.g. menu, décor)

Geometric theme : hexagon arch, cake, signs, décor

Colours: Black, Grey & Burgundy

Why: modern and favourite colours

Where did you find your inspiration?

 Pinterest & My head 😊

For the bride: Did you each know right away it was “THE dress” or had you previously tried on many other dresses?
It was the second dress I tried on. I went into the boutique with 2 pictures of dresses I wanted to try on. I tried on probably 10-12 dresses and was stuck between the 2 from the pictures…but the reaction of my friends and family when I came out in the 2nd dress really made the decision easy!

Why did you choose your reception venue?

We had never been to a wedding at NAV and it is a beautiful venue. Many weddings in Cornwall that we had been to have taken place at the Ramada or Best Western but we wanted to have something different.
